The oldest child of a diverse and multi-talented group of siblings, Breean, as the son of a hippie dad and an evangelical Christian mom,  learned early on how to listen deeply, meet and accept people where they are, and to think about solving problems creatively.

Breean met his wife, attorney Laurie Powers, while they were students at the University of Washington School of Law.  They have been married for almost 24 years.

Together they have raised three remarkable children, Carter, a senior at the University of Washington, and identical twins Bridget and Fiona, seniors at Lewis & Clark High School.

Breean plays ultimate Frisbee every week, soccer whenever he can, and enjoys long-distance running.  His favorite things are talking with his kids and singing karaoke.
